A Year of Enactus

Seasons Greetings from Enactus UK! As we approach the end of the year we have been reflecting on everything that has happened since our national competition and the end of the Enactus year this April and everything we have achieved and wanted to share it all with those who have supported us and made the Enactus programme possible in the UK.

  1. Enactus Edinburgh represented the UK delegation at the Wold Cup in San Jose this October, they reached the semi-finals of the competition being knocked out of the competition by Enactus Canada who went on to lift the world cup this year, congratulations Canada! You can see competition flashback video Here.

  2. The NextGenLeaders programme has successfully launched in both Nottinghamshire and Yorkshire with 8 teams currently enrolled on the programme and another 4 in the pipeline to join in the new year! There is now a whole new generation of students creating a difference in the world and creating socially responsible business. We are incredibly excited to see their projects at the regional competitions next March!

  3. We hosted the Responsible Leaders Accelerator for the second year running where 100 students learnt insights into the future of work and how to tackle the recruitment process with ease. You can see the flashback of the event Here.

  4. We welcomed 4 new rookie teams to the programme, Pearson College London, The University of South Wales, The University of Hull and Sheffield Hallam University, its going to be an exciting rookie league this year, good luck!

  5. We hosted 400 students from across the country at our national training weekend at a new venue in Doncaster, special thanks to our alumni and partners for getting involved running sessions over the weekend, your knowledge is always incredibly valuable for the next generation of Enactus students. You can see the flashback video for the event Here.

  6. We have welcomed f6 new partners into the Enactus UK family, a massive welcome to BiC, Greene King, Sodexo, Osborne Clarke, American Express and Visa, we have enjoyed having you involved in our events so far and look forward to seeing our partnership grow!

  7. We have also welcomed 4 new members of staff, Tom and Divya our new Programme Managers responsible for mentoring teams across the London, South East and Midlands regions, Kat our Engagement Manager who looks after our partners needs and their relationships with teams corporate relations executives, and Lizzie our Digital Engagement and Events Manager, who takes care of our online presence and organises our events.

  8. We are always looking to encourage innovation amongst our students, this year we have introduced a new rule meaning all teams must present a local project at competition next year, we ran an accelerator at training weekend to kickstart new local projects and are looking forward to seeing these projects reach impact in the new term and transform our students local communities.

  9. We have just launched the first Enactus UK online module for students on our resource centre! This module will walk students through the process of creating a local project, from finding out what you are passionate about to developing your business module step by step to encourage innovation.

We are looking forward to seeing our teams achievements at the regionals and nationals next year and building on the successes they have had in first term! If you would like to celebrate with us at the national expo 2019 you can register your interest Here.
